"End of Scotchverse (for now)"??? FOR NOW???
Oh my goodness. When, may I beg, is "later"? Because just seeing these summaries listed here makes me happy. As you may know, I read this series very early in my Sherlock fic-reading life, and now, approximately 300 fics later, it is still my most favorite. All sighs.
Hee! There may be more fics in the 'verse eventually, but I admit I don't have any concrete ones planned. I may have one that could be in the Scotchverse, and I'm thinking about whether I want to keep it there or just leave it as a general fic. I feel like it could go either way.
Aaaaaaand that was a lot of babbling. Anyway! I'm glad Scotch still works for you! :-)

Just a quick note - I discovered you through Savings Sherlock Holmes (which I am enjoying very much and tap my fingers impatiently between postings) and did not discover the Scotch verse series nearly soon enough. I have to say that while I personally do not ship, yours are the only stories out there that make the possibility of Mycroft/Lestrade and Sherlock/John sound plausible and I've enjoyed the journey through that series very, very much. You are a gifted writer who has a remarkable ability to create the perfect mood. Keep up the good work and I cross my fingers that you will add to the Scotch verse at some point. (Just as an aside, I've had a stressful couple of months with an immense remodeling project and I found that if I needed a quick lift, a re-reading of any part of the Scotch series would put a smile on my face!)
Awww, thank you! I'm so glad that the ships in my fics feel believable to you! Honestly, *I* wasn't even a Mystrade shipper until I started writing them. Scotch was supposed to be completely gen! Then Mycroft started snogging people! Oops!
Anyway, I am so happy I could provide a little stress relief. :-)

I've finally worked up the courage to leave you a comment! I came here from the Chaosverse (wonderful, wonderful stuff) a while ago and have been silently devouring absolutely everything you write! I mean I seriously. Can't. Get. Enough. I love your Sherlockfic. There is just something about the way you write the characters and dialogue and their internal dialogue which makes them so perfect and believable. I can see them and hear them living these stories and it's all spot on.
And I must also thank you for introducing me to Mystrade! Oh boy. Now that is something that I must have more of. I've searched and searched and no one does it quite like you... There is something about your Mycroft in those stories... Lestrade is a lucky man!
You are one seriously gifted individual! Please, please keep it up :)
