1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says.
Believe it or not, page 18 was blank. The book was "Feeding the Monster: How Money, Smarts, and Nerve Took a Team to the Top."

2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
Random piece of paper torn from my legal pad at work, with notes scribbled on it for a motion I was writing a couple of weeks ago.

3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Boston Legal

4: Without looking, guess what the time is.
10:48 p.m.

5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?
10:55 p.m. Time always moves faster than I think. Except when I'm at work. Unless I'm at work against a deadline.

6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
Boston Legal, and the cars on Beacon Street, and the squeak of my rocking chair as it rocks back and forth

7: When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
It was...around 7:30. When I walked in from work.

8: Before you came to this website, what did you look at?
My real writing website.

9: What are you wearing?
orange-y top and black pants -- I haven't changed from my work clothes yet

10: Did you dream last night? What about?
I don't remember last night's dream, sadly. I choose to believe it was a good one.

11: When did you last laugh?
Hmm. Like, genuinely, couldn't help it? Hmm. I think it might have been in a meeting yesterday. It's always good when I'm in the stage where I just laugh helplessly at my job.

12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?
Collage of photos from France, a drawing by my sister, a painting of Boson Public Garden, a poster of Providence's WaterFire, and a print of "The Artist's Honeymoon" from the MFA

13: Seen anything weird lately?
Oh, almost every work-related e-mail I get is weird...

14: What is the last film you saw?
Possibly "Pretty Woman" the other night.

15: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?
The mortgage from my bank.

16: Tell us something about you that we don't know.
I can't sleep without socks on.

17: Do you like to dance?
Sure

18: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?
Ainsley Helen (Helen is my mother's, grandmother's, and great-grandmother's name)

19: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?
Jack (my mother's maiden name would be his middle name, as my mother's maiden name has now died out, but as it's also a security question all the time, I won't post it here)

20: Would you ever consider living abroad?
Fantasize about it all the time.

Me neither! Unless it's summer and the AC is out.

Ainsley

Are you by chance a West Wing fan?

I think I have slept without socks on in this circumstance, but I really can't remember it.

"Are you by chance a West Wing fan?"

Why, yes. I am. ;-)

I think more people are like that than are like me. I think most of the issue is that I am almost always cold, and having socks on at least alleviates that a bit.

I'd like him to come argue that I need my LJ access back at work. After all, if the smokers can have their cigarettes...

*happily fantasizes about that*
